Butter Chicken
A rich and creamy Indian dish made with marinated chicken simmered in a spiced tomato sauce.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into pieces
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Steps
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in the chicken pieces and cook until browned.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, garam masala, chili powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
