Classic Beef Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper until well combined.
  3. Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Once the grill is hot, place the patties on it and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  5. If using, place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the bottom bun.
  8. Add the cooked patty on top and finish with ketchup and mustard.
  9. Close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.
