Classic Beef Burger

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Cheese slices (optional)
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Onion slices
- Pickles
- Ketchup
- Mustard
Steps
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and pepper until well combined.
- Divide the beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Once the grill is hot, place the patties on it and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
- If using, place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the bottom bun.
- Add the cooked patty on top and finish with ketchup and mustard.
- Close the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.
